One of our proudest recent projects? Designing and installing new bunk rooms for the Durango Fire Department—working alongside Fire Chief Randy Black and his incredible team.

This project wasn’t just another job—it was a true community collaboration.
By designing and manufacturing right here in Durango, we were able to hire locally for engineering, fabrication, and white glove installation teams. Every bunk room built meant more hours and more jobs for hardworking people right here at home. It meant strengthening the fabric of our town while supporting the people who keep it running.
In a market rocked by tariff wars and unstable supply chains, staying local isn’t just a nice idea—it’s a necessity.
At Colorado Closets Plus, we made a choice early on: use American-made materials wherever possible.
That means our melamine is American. Our manufacturing is in-house. Our designs are created by people who live here—not by someone in another time zone.
Yes, some specialized parts like Murphy bed mechanisms come from Canada or Europe, but the heart of everything we build? It’s made right here at home.
