Custom Closets & Cabinets in Pagosa Springs, Colorado
Colorado Closets Plus designs, builds, and installs custom closets and cabinetry for homes across Pagosa Springs and the Pagosa Lakes area. We build everything at our own shop in Durango and bring it over Highway 160 to you.
That means when you call and schedule a consultation for your new totally custom closet, the consultation happens in your home, not online.

Custom storage for Pagosa Springs homes
Most of Pagosa lives up in the Pagosa Lakes area north of Highway 160, on quarter- to half-acre lots run by the PLPOA. Craftsman and cabin-style homes, wood exteriors, tin roofs, a lot of them second homes that sit empty part of the year. Down by the river in the older part of town the houses are tighter and closer to the flood line. Two different storage problems in one zip code.
A second home has its own quirk. It has to hold gear for the weeks the family is here and stay tidy for the weeks it is rented or shown. Ski gear in winter, paddleboards for the lakes in summer, nowhere obvious to put any of it. A designer drives out from Durango, measures, and builds the plan around your place.

Why Colorado Closets Plus for Pagosa Springs storage?
The Local Lens
One local team
The designer who measures your Pagosa house is from the same shop that builds it and the same crew that installs it. No hand-off between a local rep and a distant factory. One company, over Highway 160 and back.
We know Pagosa Springs
The PLPOA lots north of 160 with the walk-outs and the unfinished storage. The tighter older homes down by the river. The second homes that work hard for a few weeks and then sit clean.
We handle the drive
Pagosa is a routine trip for us, not a special exception. We schedule the consultation, the measure, and the install around the hour each way, so the distance is our problem to manage. Same process a Durango client gets.
Ideal for second homes
A second home swings between full and vacant and the air swings with it. Thermally fused melamine over an engineered core takes those swings without splitting the way solid hardwood does.
We work around you
When you are only in town some of the year, timing is everything. We book the measure and the install for the windows you are up, or coordinate with whoever holds the key.
One quote, one contract
You deal with one company from the first measurement to the final install. No coordinating between a designer here and a builder there, and no chasing down who is responsible for what.

Frequently Asked Questions
What finishes are available?
Every material we offer has more than 50 variations. Wood grains, whites, warmer off-whites, colors, and all the hardware you could imagine. If you want to see the whole menu come on down to our showroom on Turner Drive in Durango or book a free design consultation and we’ll come to you.
Do you serve Telluride, Pagosa Springs, and Ouray?
Yes. We travel throughout Southwest Colorado for consultations and installations — Telluride, Pagosa Springs, Ouray, Cortez, Silverton, Bayfield, Farmington, and the surrounding communities.
How long does installation take?
Most single-room projects install in one to two days. Larger or multi-room projects are phased so you’re not living in a construction zone. You’ll get a specific timeline once the design is finalized.
What are your closets and cabinets made of?
High-quality thermally fused melamine — hard, non-porous, easy to clean, and stable in dry Colorado air, where cheaper boards swell or peel. Cabinet boxes are built on plywood. The finish holds up for decades.
Are you a franchise?
No. Colorado Closets Plus is locally owned and has designed, built, and installed in Durango since 2008. The designer who walks your home is part of the same team that manufactures and installs the project.
Where is everything manufactured?
At our own facility at 190 Turner Drive in Durango. Nothing ships in from a national distribution center — which means shorter lead times and changes resolved in days, not weeks.
How many color and finish options are there?
More than 50 — crisp whites, warm off-whites, wood tones, deep blues and greens, charcoals, and matte blacks. We bring physical samples to your home so you can see them in the room’s actual light.
Can you work with sloped ceilings or other non-standard spaces?
Yes — those are exactly the spaces custom is for. Sloped ceilings, angled walls, shallow niches, and converted rooms are common in mountain homes, and every piece is made to your measurements rather than a standard size.
