Off-the-shelf storage is built to fit any home, which really means it fits none of them well. You get standard-width units that gap at the wall and wire racks that sag after a couple years. A custom build starts from your actual room instead: how long the wall runs, where the studs sit, how high the ceiling reaches. Every system we build uses high-quality thermally fused melamine, the same material premium closet makers rely on across North America. The surface is hard, easy to wipe down, and resistant to moisture. It also holds up in dry Colorado air, where cheaper boards tend to swell, warp, or peel at the edges within a few years.

More than 50 options, from crisp whites and warm off-whites to rich wood tones, deep blues, charcoal greys, and matte blacks. Your designer brings physical samples to the consultation so you can see how each finish reads in your room’s light before you decide anything.

What are your closets and cabinets made of?
High-quality thermally fused melamine — hard, non-porous, easy to clean, and stable in dry Colorado air, where cheaper boards swell or peel. Cabinet boxes are built on plywood. The finish holds up for decades.

Where is everything manufactured?
At our own facility at 190 Turner Drive in Durango. Nothing ships in from a national distribution center — which means shorter lead times and changes resolved in days, not weeks.
How long does installation take?
Most single-room projects install in one to two days. Larger or multi-room projects are phased so you’re not living in a construction zone. You’ll get a specific timeline once the design is finalized.
Do you serve Telluride, Pagosa Springs, and Ouray?
Yes. We travel throughout Southwest Colorado for consultations and installations — Telluride, Pagosa Springs, Ouray, Cortez, Silverton, Bayfield, Farmington, and the surrounding communities.
Do you work in new construction as well as existing homes?
Both. Most of our work is retrofit in existing homes, but we also coordinate with builders and architects on new builds — the earlier we’re involved, the more storage gets designed into the house itself.
What rooms can you design storage for?
Almost any room — bedrooms, kitchens, pantries, living and family rooms, offices, gyms, craft rooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, bathrooms, garages, and kids’ spaces. If a room has walls, we’ve probably built storage for one like it.
