Rows of shelf-pin holes down both side panels. Shelves and rods move without tools. The same box handles a nursery, a ten-year-old, and a teenager.
Rods & Hanging
Low rods for little kids, around 36 to 42 inches, and a normal double hang for older ones. Add a drawer unit when their clothes shift from mostly folded to mostly hung.
Colors & Finishes
50+ options. Whites and light woods are the most popular because they last through every phase, but bold colors hold up fine too. The melamine takes either one.

Can you work with sloped ceilings or other non-standard spaces?
Yes — those are exactly the spaces custom is for. Sloped ceilings, angled walls, shallow niches, and converted rooms are common in mountain homes, and every piece is made to your measurements rather than a standard size.
Can you design a nursery that adapts as the child grows?
Yes — we design for the current age and spec the adjustable configuration so it grows with the child. No return visit needed; you reposition it yourself in a few minutes.
How do the adjustable shelves work?
Shelf pins sit in rows of holes drilled into the cabinet sides; move the pins and you move the shelf or rod, no tools needed. The box stays put for years while everything inside repositions.

At our own facility at 190 Turner Drive in Durango. Nothing ships in from a national distribution center — which means shorter lead times and changes resolved in days, not weeks.

High-quality thermally fused melamine — hard, non-porous, easy to clean, and stable in dry Colorado air, where cheaper boards swell or peel. Cabinet boxes are built on plywood. The finish holds up for decades.

No. Colorado Closets Plus is locally owned and has designed, built, and installed in Durango since 2008. The designer who walks your home is part of the same team that manufactures and installs the project.
How long does installation take?
Most single-room projects install in one to two days. Larger or multi-room projects are phased so you’re not living in a construction zone. You’ll get a specific timeline once the design is finalized.
How durable is the material in a kid’s room?
Thermally fused melamine doesn’t scratch easily, wipes clean, and doesn’t scuff like painted wood. Soft-close hinges keep doors from slamming.
